In one of my earlier posts I wrote that FooBox, the WordPress responsive lightbox plugin with social sharing is available at a discount of 52% at MightyDeals. Today I found a 10% off coupon that works in MightyDeals site.
I just purchased the $97 Business (developer) license for $42.30 using this coupon. The coupon code is: COUPONCRY10
This is for 1 year of free updates and support. I wish it were a truly one-time fee as it reads on the FooBox site here. But still I think this is a pretty good price and I just got a project that needed this.
Apparently the deal has been extended and is available for another 5 days.
Got the following reply from FooBox regarding the “one time fee”:
HI there, sorry for the confusion. The site you provided the screenshot for (getfoobox.com) shows a row that says “One Year upgrades.” This means you will get all updates to FooBox for one year. After that you may purchase an updated license at 50% off if you’d like to continue to receive updates and premium support. You can continue to use FooBox on unlimited sites, they simply will not be eligible for updates until you purchase an updated license. This does not hinder you from continuing to use FooBox as much as you like, it only restricts whether you can continue to receive premium support and updates to the plugin.
I hope that clarifies the issue. We trust you will enjoy FooBox and you will get much value out of using it and will be happy to use it and all the updates for this next year, or you will be happy to pay for continued updates.
Let me know if you have further concerns.
to which I replied:
It makes more sense to replace “one time fee” with “per year” in the pricing table for the 3 columns.
After getting a taste of good and fast customer support, not to mention the features provided by the plugin I would say FooBox is highly recommended.
