In the past I showed how a wide header can be added in Lifestyle Pro and Agency Pro Genesis child themes.
The same method can be applied in Metro Pro.

Upload your desired header image to your Media library. Recommended width is 1068px. Height can be any.
Add the following in Metro Pro's functions.php:

Thanks for your informative posts, they have helped me a lot as there isn’t too much info on this subject out there. This may be a dumb question but when you say add this to functions.php and style.css, do you mean just copy what you have and paste it at the bottom? Thanks!

Yes.
When pasting the code in child theme’s functions.php, remember to NOT include the opening PHP tag.

Thanks so much for this tutorial Sridhar. I had started to do this a different, much more complicated, way which looked awful on mobile. Was so glad to find your easy, effective, tutorial for creating a full-size header for an executive pro site I’m working on.
