I am using the Glam theme, and I would like to have the Title link out to a custom URL using a text widget.When using a text widget to display an image the theme is set to show the title across the image. For user friendliness I would like the title as well as the image itself to be a link. It is not intuitive to have to click on the image, people tend to click on the text.

The Home Flexible section in Glam Pro uses Featured Posts and Featured Page widgets to display the featured images with titles overlayed. But these titles won't link to the corresponding entry's permalinks.
We can create a custom template for Flexible Posts Widget so the output has the featured image and title wrapped in a hyperlink linking to the permalink and select this template in multiple instances of Flexible Posts Widget.
Step 1
Install and activate Flexible Posts Widget.
Step 2
Create a directory named flexible-posts-widget in Glam Pro's directory and add a file named say, linked-entry.php in it having the following:
