You’ve just answered my question! I’ve been debating buying this theme for this reason. I think I’ll go ahead and try this out! Thanks
Go for it.

There’s a much simpler way to use a wide header image in Genesis themes and I am the middle of composing my post.
I love your tutorials ! This would have been helpful about a month ago but I could not figure it out and ended up going with a different theme . Definitely bookmarking this for future reference.
Will this same code work on the NewsPro theme?
You may want to use this method instead: http://www.sridharkatakam.com/add-responsive-wide-header-genesis/
I changed the codes exactly you said, but my image is at displayed at the center..

Please help
I am having the same issue
I am thinking to buy this theme but had two concerns first one which is answered in your tutorial and the second one that I don’t want the floating menu(Is it possible how?) and I am not sure if they provide any help in theme customization(does Studiopress provides?) or not as the last time I bought a theme and the developer clearly said they don’t provide theme customization.
Yes. It is possible to not make the top navigation fixed by making a few changes in style.css.
I do not know whether StudioPress will entertain such customizations. You might want to ask their ‘pre-sales’ via Twitter or posting in their forum or a contact form on their site.
Very helpful post. Do you have a post on how to make the After Post Widget in the Magazine Pro theme center or justified? It’s currently aligned left. Thanks!
Hello, thank you for this tutorial! I made these changes, but my header seems stuck at a smaller size:

Did I miss something important here?
i spent lots of valuable time working on this only now to realize that it may not work with studio press. Are you a sp developer or not?
