Awesome! EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thanks so much for helping me out with this. Your site is an incredible resource for customizing StudioPress themes!
Hi! Thank you for this, exactly what I needed. This is kind of an unrelevant question, but I have the portfolio section on my front-page and then three newest blog posts underneath.. but I can’t seem to find where to edit the styling etc. of the blog posts section. I want to change the titles of the posts to h6, and add a title genereally over the posts that says ‘newest blogposts,’ but it doesn’t seem like this is in the front-page section?
Hope you can help!
Followed instructions as described above, but home page shows the titles only, no images.
Can you provide the URL of your site?
It works now š Thanks for your fast response.
Back again. Having trouble showing portfolio images on front page of another site. Followed instructions including installation of display shortcode plugin.. Using minimum pro theme w/ genesis 2.0.2. URL of the website is http://vintafoto.com/
How do you modify the code above to show a filterable portfolio (using the instructions found on a previous tutorial “Filterable Portfolio in Centric Pro”). I’m using minimum pro. I followed your instructions above and it doesn’t show on the homepage. Thank you.
I actually used the instructions outlined in your “Filterable Portfolio in Genesis” tutorial to create the filterable portfolio not the Centric version as noted in my original query. Thank You
This is a great solution and it works, however it is not very responsive, in the way that minimum pro featured posts are.
Hello, sorry to comment on an old post but I was wondering if you could help me with this problem:
I’d like it to to show 3-4 images per row instead of the default 2 in the grid for this, how or where can I do that in the codes provided?
And would you know if these codes would cause conflict with the other ones such as this one http://sridharkatakam.com/portfolio-genesis-featured-images-grid-revealing-title-excerpt-hover/ cause I’d like my portfolio featured images in the homepage to be able to do this too
Love this website overall because of the helpful tutorials for Genesis themes, thank you for sharing!
CSS for displaying entries in 2 columns is in the above CSS code, lines 20 to 37. You would need to modify it so entries are shown in 4 columns. :nth-of-type pseudo selector in CSS can be used. You can find a few examples here: http://sridharkatakam.com/?s=nth+of+type
There should not be a conflict.
