Wow, thanks for doing this.
What do I do if I just want the navigation bar and the Portfolio entries? No big picture, call to action, or information about the site.
Updated the post. Check Addendum.
Thanks so much.
If I do this and Front page is set to display latest posts at Settings > Reading, then how do I have a page where all my non-Portfolio blog posts display on?
Nevermind, I forgot that for Genesis you have to set a page’s template to “Blog”
Hello! I love this idea. How might this be modified to allow for 2-4 portfolio items to be displayed above the standard posts that get pulled in from the blog? So, just adding this functionality to the current front page?
How would you add 2-4 porfolio items in addition to the items it pulls from the blog?

any ideas of what im doing wrong?

i created a new page and applied the ‘filterable portfolio’ template to that page. worked like a charm.

I have cleaned up the code in the article and tested it on a fresh install followed by setting it up as a copy of the theme demo of Minimum Pro. It is working fine. Can you compare the code with what you have and check again?
Hello Sridhar,
Can I send you a PM with my credentials for a quick look at my site?

Kenneth
Yes. Send WP and FTP logins via http://sridharkatakam.com/contact/.
Fixed.
The problem was that the code in this tutorial was not formatted correctly and single quotes got pasted as similar but not single quote characters.
I edited it in your functions.php and now the Portfolio entries are appearing on front page.
