This is so cool! I am definitely trying this out ASAP. Thanks, Sri.
This is great. I’m curious if there’s a way to put something like this in a widget? Mabye another tutorial. Keep up the great tuts!
I’m so glad I became a member here!
Thanks Sridhar for your Dynamik tips.
Just curious, Sridhar, is this custom template applied to the built in archive template in the Portfolio Post Type plugin, or does it need to be applied to a new page?
Just wasn’t clear when reading through the tutorial.
Great tutorial! Thanks. Yael
The template gets applied to the Portfolio CPT archive page, not a new static Page.
Hi Sridhar,
Figured out the answer to my previous question by reading some other tutorials so disregard that. But I did want to ask about this:
Create a file named archive-portfolio.js in wp-content/js directory having this code:
Is that the correct directory? I would think it would be the child theme folder rather than wp-content?
I’ve tried adding the js file to both wp/content/js (according to tutorial) and in child theme /js folder and neither worked, so I would love to know which directory is correct for the js file.
Yael
Duh, all I needed to do was look at the template file to figure it out.
So it is the wp-content/js file!
Still not working for me but at least I have the correct directory for the js file!
Can you provide the URL of your portfolio archive page?
