Offcanvas is a jQuery script for setting up fully accessible sidebar or top/bottom sliding (or push) panels with keyboard interactions and ARIA attributes.
In this tutorial, we shall register a custom Off-Canvas Content widget area and reveal the widget(s) placed in it from the browser edge when a button is clicked.

The solution works ideally when the nav menu placed inside the widget area has single level and is not very long as there's no vertical scrolling in the off canvas panel in my testing
With a text widget coming into view from the top:
While the tutorial has been written for Genesis Sample child theme it should work with minor adjustments in any Genesis child theme.
