How do I cancel my membership/subscription/auto billing?
You can go to https://sridharkatakam.com/account/?action=subscriptions and cancel your subscription(s) any time. Cancellation takes effect immediately. Once your subscription is canceled, no further invoices will be generated for that subscription.
If you have paid for the entire billing period and the subscription was canceled part-way through the period, you are not credited a refund.
I am trying to subscribe using PayPal. After I accept the payment in PayPal, it goes back to your site with a 404 error page and the payment is not done. What's happening?
Could be due to ad blocker in your browser/computer. Please retry with Adblock disabled.
I just tried to sign up for the subscription and my credit card says declined. This card works for me with other merchants. Do you know what happened?
List of supported cards by Stripe Australia (my card payment processor): Visa, MasterCard and American Express Debit or credit cards. Discover cards do not work.
Please contact your Credit Card/Debit Card company and ask them to remove the block that may have automatically been placed for your transaction. Some financial institutions do this as a security measure when the transaction is ‘foreign’. I live in Australia.
Another possible reason is that credit card authorization charge is not exactly 1 USD, but something like 0.77 USD. Quoting from a mail one user sent me:
I called my credit card company and it was declined because it was for $0.77 USD, which they said was weird because normally it’s for $1. I understand 1 AUD = 0.77 USD, and I’m not sure if you have any control over how the credit card authorization happens, but I thought I would pass along the info.
I followed one of your tutorials, added code in functions.php and got white screen of death on the front-end. How can I get the site up and running?
The most probable reason for this is that you forgot to remove the opening PHP tag from the code added in functions.php. To fix this, connect to the hosting’s web server using either a FTP client (like FileZilla) or use cPanel file manager, navigate to your child theme’s directory, edit functions.php and remove the opening PHP tag in the code that has been added.
What sort of support can I expect when I subscribe to 'Tutorials Access'?
Basic.
I shall reply and solve any questions in the comments area if the code does not work as intended – meaning in the child theme it was tested and written for.
Guidance on making the code work in other Genesis child themes or tweaking it for additional customizations is not included. For example, in my Full width Soliloquy slider with Header floating on the top in Genesis tutorial I say
While the active theme used in this tutorial is Modern Portfolio Pro, the code should work in other Genesis child themes as well with minor adjustments.
Providing assistance on these kind of changes is not included.
What sort of support can I expect when I subscribe to 'Support'?
I shall point you in the right direction and provide guidance on customizations like applying the code in any of tutorials to child themes other than what the tutorial is written for.
Support is offered via forum.
What kind of turnaround time do you give on requested tutorials in our member's only area?
There is no guarantee that I will write tutorials or reply to tutorial requests asked in Members-only forum.
With around 800 members present it is not practically possible for me to promise that all requests will be fulfilled or provide a turnaround time. At the moment I visit users’ requests in ‘Tutorial Requests’ forum topic if I do not have any other topics to write on and if I need some ideas to write about.
