In the 'Content Archives' section of Genesis Theme Settings we can specify whether the full content or content limited to a certain number of characters or excerpts should be displayed in content archives (Posts page, category archives, tag archives, search results etc.).
When this is set to content limit or excerpts, if you would like to set the first (latest) post to appear in full i.e., regardless of content archives theme settings, add the following in your child theme's functions.php.

Excellent. But how can you do to display the comments?
I gave this a try and managed to only show the comment form for the latest Post but not the comments list. Asked about the same at https://twitter.com/srikat/status/616786615927742464.
