In the past, I wrote about Portfolio in Genesis with Featured Images in a Grid revealing Title and Excerpt on Hover. In this tutorial, I share the steps for doing the same on Portfolio CPT archive page in Showcase Pro in a simplified way without using jQuery for the hover effect.
At 1024px and below we shall set the title and excerpt to appear below the images.
Tested in Showcase Pro v2.0.0
Step 1
Install and activate Portfolio Post Type plugin.
Add Portfolio items and upload/select featured images. In the demo site, I have used images that are 800 x 600.
Step 2
Add the following in Showcase Pro's functions.php:

The above is great, I think I have added it as instructed but my images are n’t displaying at the same size as the demo.
Please see the link, the first image is the only image that is 800 x 600 but you can see they are a lot smaller.
Is there something I’ve missed? I have deleted the previous portfolio changes as well (I think).

I can’t find the CSS from Step 5 in https://www.media-evolution.com.au/wp-content/themes/showcase-pro/style.css. Have you added it?

How would you go about adding filter options with Isotope?
Sorry for the very beginner question, but am I able to add this to the home page, and if so how would I add it to a widget area?
Not a problem. In which widget area do you want this to appear? or, do you want a new widget area for this in between the existing widget areas? If so, in which location?
Thanks for the quick reply. Front page three is where I’m trying to put it. I’m trying to create a hover effect for featured posts on the front page similar to this.

I’m not sure if this is the right way of going about it, being that this is designed for a portfolio. I saw you have a tutorial to create the same effect that is in the agency theme, maybe I’ll go with that, or something similar you would recommend for showcase pro theme.
