Just a quick post to share my findings about using Disqus commenting system in Genesis.
The official Disqus plugin works fine but ideally you would want to load the comments only if a visitor wants to. For loading Disqus on demand, Disqus Conditional Load can be used instead of the official one.
If you do not wish to use one of the above plugins or when you want full control of where on the singular pages 'Read Comments' button should slide open Disqus commenting, here's how Disqus can be set up to appear on click in Genesis manually. Note that this manual method does not provide all the features offered by the above plugins.

Works like a charm, yet again another great tutorial.
Hi Sridhar. Awesome tutorial, but can you make one to work with WP’s native commenting function? I want to keep things simple and less cluttered. All I would love to have is a simple toggle ‘Hide / Show Comments’. I posted this request on the forum some time ago. I hope you can help.
Thank you very much in advance!
I also am looking for a way to conditionally show WP native comments. Would the process be similar?

Could other PHP conflict with this and prevent it from working? I’m not seeing results on my personal site: http://www.northernbellediaries.com.
Looks like you switched to a plugin now? I see Disqus working on your site but it’s not ‘click to load’. If you can give me WP and FTP login to your site (via the contact form on this site) where the problem can be seen I can dig in and try to troubleshoot.
This is amazing Sridhar! Thank you! I only have Disqus (no other plugin related to Disqus). I will send you the info via the contact form.
