In this tutorial I share how WordPress Popular Posts plugin can be used for displaying 4 most popular posts (based on number of views) with thumbnail (featured image), category, title and date for each Post in columns.
Step 1
Install and activate WordPress Popular Posts plugin.
In this particular example, Foodie Pro is the active theme. But this should work in any Genesis child theme.
Step 2
Add the following before genesis(); in front-page.php near the end:
