Is there a way to use this in the eleven40 them ? there is no description box in menu structure of eleven40. you you know of a way that would help me apply the menu description as well.
Great site. very helpful
Go to Menus then go to Screen options at the top right, select Descriptions – this will allow the description area to appear.
Thanks, just learned something new. 🙂
This is awesome. My only concern is the plugin shouldn’t be used long term since any user with access to widgets can modify this. I’m turning over the site to my client and don’t want any vulnerabilities.

I mean where should we insert the font awesome tag in the menu fields to make it appear.

Anyone here?
there is no description showing up if I use this code on the Genesis Starter Child Theme ;-( http://decker.lindebjerg.de/container-auswahl/
Can I use this same method to display the icons above each of the menu items?
Yes.
How would I position them? I’ve replicated what you did in the tutorial, but I can’t get the icons above the text using CSS.
Thanks for your help!
I’ll look into it. Actually, I started working on it, then got side-tracked and ended up publishing https://sridharkatakam.com/automatically-add-item-label-class-nav-menu-items-wordpress/
Here you go.
