hello sridhar.
what is better for me? I work with the normal themes of Genesis. I should take better extender or dynamics?
thanks for help mario
Genesis Extender.
The difference between the two is… Genesis Extender is a WP plugin you use on top of a Genesis theme. It allows you to add custom content areas where there were none before and do lots of other customizations. Like Sridhar said, the front-end CSS builder is worth the $50 alone.
Dynamik Website Builder is a child theme itself that starts out blank and you have hundreds of customizations you can make to build exactly the kind of site you’d like to have. It is more expensive than Extender and is much more in-depth with a larger learning curve. But if you want to build your own themes or have ultimate control over what displays where on your site. This is the one you want.
Or, you could get them both, like me, and have all options available.
I HIGHLY recommend Dynamik Website Builder. It is so versatile and gives you so much control. Though I own all of the Studiopress themes, I still always build sites with DWB. I love it.
Thanks Sridhar. Purchased through your link. I appreciate all the hard work you put into your tutorials.
Thank you Sridhar. You rock. Definitely a fan of the unlimited licensing. 😉 I was fortunate enough to get in on the Gravity Forms one once upon a time as well… I appreciate the heads up on this one. Have a safe trip and I hope you enjoy Australia! Looking forward to some updates.
“Coming to Dynamik, I recommend this to beginner level developers who will appreciate the 100s of no-design coding options that it offers. You can do everything that you can with Genesis Extender in Dynamik as well.”
This may be misleading to some. Unlike the Genesis Extender plugin, the Dynamik Website Builder will not work with any Genesis Child themes. You won’t be able to use Dynamik to modify any Genesis child themes.
Just a quick question about Genesis Extender. Most your tutorials require a wp_enqueue_script() to load js. You suggest adding a folder in the theme install called js and add the script in there. Genesis Extender has a box for adding js code, I usually just add any jQuery in there and it seems to work fine. Is this OK to do in your opinion? Or should I really enqueue the script by adding the function and the js in a separate file?

I purchased Genesis Extender based on Sridhar’s recommendation as well. Look forward to using it. I always like lifetime licenses. Was thinking about picking up Dynamik too, but wasn’t sure I was up to mastering another tool. Own the Genesis developer’s license.
Is there ANY way to still get this offer?
Possibly. Just ask CobaltApps directly.
