  • Hi Sridhar, so can this be applied to the middle section as the original post titled indicated? I want to show Featured Pages in Home Middle section not Home Bottom section. Can I apply this to Home Middle section?

    • You will have to replace all instances of “.home-bottom” with “.home-middle” in the above CSS. Then drag multiple Genesis – Featured Page widgets in ‘Home Middle’ sidebar.

      • Thank you, Sridhar. Actually, soon after I posted that question, it dawned on me that all I needed to do was adjust css styles to .home-middle. Thank you for confirming.

  • Sridhar,

    How can I change the size of the boxes that contain the images? The images and spacing are too big on my laptop screen. I would like to make the images smaller so once the “Our Work” button is pushed, all of the smaller boxes (images) can fit on my screen.

    Any thoughts?

  • We’re using pages instead of posts for the home middle widget, thanks to your brilliant instructions. (Thank you!)

    We added

    `add_post_type_support( ‘page’, ‘excerpt’ ); `

    to the functions so the pages would have excerpts. We’d like for the home page to pull these page excerpts, but the Genesis Featured Page widget doesn’t offer that as an option.

    And of course the Genesis Featured Posts Amplified widget does not work.

    Any ideas?

    I’ve also posted this in the Genesis Community Forum. I apologize if that’s not the proper thing to do.

  • This blog is exactly what i was looking for! Your work is really appreciated, Sridhar.

    The only issue I still have is that the paragraphs are not recognized for the text. All sentences show up next to each other as if it is one paragraph. Is there a quick fix for this?

  • How difficult would it be to apply the grid and hover look to an interior page listing authors/contributors? I’m working on a site with multiple contributors and we’d love to display a list of contributors with the same styling as the home/landing page for consistency. On hover we’d like the author name and short bio to appear. Clickable to that particular users archive page. Would greatly appreciate any help.

  • Hi Sridhar, you have provided a tutorial for just about everything anyone could want to do with Agency Pro. Is there a way to increase how many images are included in the home-middle area? I have a client who is looking for it to be 4 across, 3 down?

  • Hello – this is nice and a great resource you provide here, thanks.

    My main problem with this feature of Agency Pro is that on a touch device, of course there is no hover – so no way of seeing the text underneath, which is not good. Given the number of touch devices out there, is there any way that just a portion of text could show such as the title? So at least a touch user would have some idea. I suppose that, coupled with auto detect of touch device would be the real solution… otherwise IMO this is really not a useful effect.

  • I have tried multiple edits of this code above and in your responses. I keep getting my widgets aligned vertically with a title and description from the page rather than the 2×3 hover tiles. Followed all directions to the T multiple times and have deleted and re-entered code a few times as well. Not sure what to do to get this to work now.

    Note: Should I be putting this in my theme style.css or the genesis style.css?

  • I got this to work now and its all good except for one thing…

    I am now getting my featured images appears above the page title and excerpt. How do I get it so when I hove over the page’s featured image that the page title and excerpt appear? I double checked my code and everything matches what you have posted, along with everything from the widget pages themselves.

  • Hello Sridhar! I was doing some research because I purchased the Genesis AgencyPro theme and needed to add 3 featured pages (not posts) under the Middle Home section.     However, after trying the steps many times and trying the plugins you mentioned, I am unable to get the featured pages to display 3 in a row horizontally. They keep displaying 3 in a column vertically. I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction on this since you are obviously quite the expert. Thanks for your time.
