Just a quick post to share my findings about using Disqus commenting system in Genesis.
The official Disqus plugin works fine but ideally you would want to load the comments only if a visitor wants to. For loading Disqus on demand, Disqus Conditional Load can be used instead of the official one.
If you do not wish to use one of the above plugins or when you want full control of where on the singular pages 'Read Comments' button should slide open Disqus commenting, here's how Disqus can be set up to appear on click in Genesis manually. Note that this manual method does not provide all the features offered by the above plugins.

Paste this in Genesis > Theme Settings > Enter scripts or code you would like output to wp_footer():
