Just finished copying 561 products from a Interspire powered e-commerce site to a WordPress site using WooCommerce. Sample product page.
I exported the products as a csv file from Interspire and imported them using Woo Product Importer, a free WordPress plugin.
Another free option out there for importing products from a csv into WooCommerce is Woocommerce CSV Importer. I actually tried this plugin first but did not go through its settings properly and couldn’t get it to work. My fault. I emailed the plugin author with my csv and he was super responsive. He tried my csv and confirmed that it works fine and even showed me a screenshot of settings per my request. But by then I tried the Woo Product Importer plugin which actually has fewer options and worked just fine.
The import did not unfortunately bring in the images and a few others. So I had to manually do that part and adjust a few other things like deleting “0.000” from dimension fields, creating and assigning product categories, entering/moving prices in Regular Price/Sale Price fields.
Apparently there’s a company called Cart2Cart which charges about $50 for migrating 500 products and another $50 to ensure that images come through. Perhaps I will try them some other time…
