The code should not be working on single product pages because of

}

Which theme are you using? Can you provide the URL of your site?

To make the code for both static Pages and blog posts, change

// if this is not a static Page, abort.
if ( ! is_singular( 'page' ) ) {
    return;
}

to

// if this is not a static Page or a singular Post, abort.
if ( ! is_singular( array( 'page', 'post' ) ) ) {
    return;
}
