Trying to add a custom sidebar using Genesis Simple Sidebars to “blog” page.
The sidebar works, but NOT on the blog page, which shows the default sidebar.
Using Altitude Pro on multisite, though I can’t imagine either of those things have anything to do with it.
I created a page called “blog” – nothing unusual.
Widgets placed in a sidebar selected for the Posts page (a static Page set at Settings > Reading) via Genesis Simple Sidebars will not appear on the frontend. The current version of the plugin (2.1.0) will only work on individual Posts, Pages and on taxonomy/category/tag archives.
In a function hooked to genesis_after_header
, it is possible to remove widgets of Primary Sidebar from the Primary Sidebar area and show the widgets of a custom sidebar (created either via code or using Genesis Simple Sidebars) instead.
