Genesis comes built-in with a Page template called Archive. When this template is applied to a static Page, site content i.e., list of Pages, Categories, Authors, Monthly archives, Recent Posts will automatically appear on that Page. This is great for having a Sitemap for your human visitors.
What if you wanted to add entries of a Custom Post Type to the output of this Archive page? It's pretty easy, thanks to Bill Erickson's plugin.
Step 1
Install and activate Display Posts Shortcode plugin.
Step 2
Copy page_archive.php from Genesis to your child theme directory.
Step 3
Edit the copied file.

Was trying to list all the portfolio items on my human sitemap page (ie genesis archive page). Did exactly what you suggested. Was wondering why it list only the last 10 portfolio items and not the full list of portfolio items I have?
